One of
my major hang ups about being a working mother is that I’m going to miss a lot
of Warren’s firsts. Tuesday, he rolled over for the FIRST time and I missed
it (from tummy to back). I have so many feelings about this, mostly joyful
ones, but this experience of being a working mother is very, very bittersweet.
Linda
did try to capture it on camera for me, but seemed late every time (which is ok).
I know he’ll do it again and again and I’ll be tickled pink! But what’s next
that I’m going to miss? Crawling? Sitting up by his self? His first word????
<That one will kill me if I miss it…I’ll be in a state of depression for a
day or so.
I need
to start documenting, somehow. A baby book at first then eventually morphed
into a more personalized scrapbook. Time is precious now, even more so that he’s
changing so rapidly!!
Last Night's Schedule

Bed @ 2.15
Up @ 5
Bed @ 5.40
He had a hard time going to sleep after 5; he wanted to talk and play with his toes, so I let him play for about 15-20 minutes in his crib then brought him to lay next to me in bed. I figured he'd do the same, but instead we traded sleepy looks while I played with his toes and tickled and talked him-eventually we both drifted off and I woke up 40 minutes later...he however, was still sleeping away...
